The Band was conceptualized and concieved on 2006 childhood friends Jojo and Delia Preston(ex-femme vox,drums) combined their ideas for music that is cut above the rest. A year into the venture Delia left to pursue her studies. leaving Jojo to fend for himself. Jojo then decided to pick-up the slack left by Delia and hence, another WN line up was formed The band went thru a lot of atrocities, numerous member changes and total revamps forcing the band to halt its operations.and hence forcing the winterhim to be delayed... former band names include: Seraphims Winter, Winter and Beleagered Dirge Inferno Semestral break of 06 when Jojo decided to resume its frustrated motives by hiring some of his classmates to join the fold and acquiring long-time doom metal artist and band veteran Dennis Liao (denyong here in rakista). Never did he thought that it would be the start of Winter Nightfall's resurrection and the return of the Winterhim. ALAS! True filipino doom metal is born, making Cardinal and Frost a cult figure in the local doom metal genre.
